<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot word extraction device, as well as a method, capable of directly extracting a hot word in Web contents, aside from the number of inputs of retrieval queries. <P>SOLUTION: The hot word extraction device (10) crawls Web sites on the Internet (30) in a prescribed period, acquires a new content, stores it in association with a URL of the new content, compares the new content with an existing content of the same URL which was acquired in the past, extracts a difference content which is added newly in the new content and a difference from the existing content and stores it. The hot word extraction device (10) totals, for each word type included in difference contents, the number of URLs of the difference contents including the word and extracts a word having a number of URLs over a prescribed reference number as a hot word. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
