PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new catalyst having improved yield and a ligand to be used therefor. SOLUTION: The ligand is expressed by formula (1) (R1and R2are each a hydrogen atom, alkyl group, phenyl group or naphthyl group (R1and R2may together form a ring through a bond); R3is a hydrogen atom, tosyl group, mesyl group or alkyl group; R4is a hydrogen atom, alkyl group or phenyl group; and R5is a hydrogen atom, alkyl group, phenyl group, halogen group, nitro group or alkoxy group, and the molecule may have two or more R5substituents.).
