The control arrangement (1) has an acceleration sensor attached on an electric bicycle (2) for detecting acceleration of the electric bicycle. A control unit (3) is formed for releasing signals from acceleration sensor of an electric motor (4) for driving the electric bicycle. An installation angle of acceleration sensor is provided and determined in control unit in electric bicycle. The control unit is formed for coordinate transformation of a sensor-acceleration signal relative to sensor-fixed coordinate systems (x-bs,z-bs) in a bicycle-acceleration signal. An independent claim is included for a method for controlling an electric bicycle.
