The component i.e. electrical button (1), has an electrical terminal (3) for electrically connecting with an electrical voltage and mounted at a counter-contact in a plug-in connection manner. The electrical terminal includes a surface (5) with a cut (6) and a carved surface (7) i.e. connection paddle, producing an electrical connection after mounting the electrical terminal on the counter-contact. The carved surface is formed in a mounting direction such that the counter-contact is centrally inserted in the cut during assembly of the electrical terminal. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an electrical component.
