<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the area in a semiconductor device, which is occupied by circuit components including at least a capacitor element and a transistor. <P>SOLUTION: In a semiconductor device comprising a first transistor, a second transistor, and a capacitor element, the first transistor and the capacitor element are disposed above the second transistor. There is provided a common electrode also serving as one of a source and a drain of the first transistor and as one electrode of the capacitor element.
