METAL PARTICULATE COMPOSITE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal particulate composite which is high in strength by localized type surface plasmon resonance and can provide a sharp absorption spectrum.

SOLUTION: The nanocomposite 10 includes a matrix resin 1, metal particulates 3 fixed to the matrix resin 1, and a metal film 7 fixed to the metal particulates 3. At least part of the metal particulates 3 includes a portion embedded in the matrix resin 1 and a portion exposed to the outside of the matrix resin 1 (protruding portion 3a), and the metal film 7 is fixed to the exposed portion. The material of the metal film 7 may be a metal species which is the same as the material of the metal particulates 3 or different therefrom. The metal film 7 is preferably obtained by heat-treating a plating film obtained by non-electrolytic plating.
