<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device equipped with a lighting system that can adjust brightness in a specified region in a display screen with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system 50 includes a rear-side light guide plate 53 arranged to overlap with a display region AR1, a front-side light guide plate 54 arranged further in the vicinity of a display panel 10 compared with the rear-side light guide plate 53 to overlap with the display region AR1 in a plane view, an illumination part 55 having rear-side light sources 55a arranged along one side 53c and irradiating light, and front-side light sources 55b arranged along one side 54c in a direction crossing a direction of the side 53c with the rear-side light sources 55a fitted in a plane view, and irradiating light, and with the rear-side light sources 55a and the front-side light sources 55b arranged at more than 3 sites in total, a reflecting member 56, a different refractive index member 57 fitted between the rear-side light guide plate 53 and the front-side light guide plate 54, and made of a material with different refractive index from the rear-side light guide plate 53, and an illumination control part 60 carrying out on-off control of each of the rear-side light sources 55a and each of the front-side light sources 55b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
