<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a metal snap button that is not readily separated even when the male snap and female snap are subjected to horizontal pulling force, and that can satisfy the need for light weight. The present invention relates to a snap button comprising a female snap (10) and a male snap (20). The female snap (10) is formed from a single sheet of metal, and is provided with a disc-shaped bottom part (11), a circumferential wall (12) continuous in the circumferential direction and erected from the circumferential edge of the bottom part (11), and a plurality of female-side engaging parts (13) in the circumferential direction formed by cutting and erecting the bottom part (11) at points further inward in the radial direction than the circumferential wall (12). The male snap (20) is provided with a circular bottom part (21) and a male-side engaging part (22) continuous in the circumferential direction and erected from the bottom part (21). The female snap (10) and the male snap (20) are engaged by inserting the male-side engaging part (22) of the male snap (20) into an annular space (16) between the female-side engaging parts (13) and the circumferential wall (12) of the female snap (10).</p> |
