<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the speed of processing for creating a raster image from data described in a page description language which is not page independent. <P>SOLUTION: An image data generating device comprises: a plurality of RIPs 40 that acquire data described in a page description language and generate pieces of raster data on pages to which respective pieces of the data are allocated; and an RIP 41 that acquires the data, and deploys and registers printing resources of all pages in the data.
