<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to form an oil hole penetrating through a partition wall of a pulley cover of a continuously variable transmission in a direction perpendicular to an axis of the pulley cover. <P>SOLUTION: The step in which the pulley cover 48 having first and second hydraulic oil chambers 16a, 16b through which a movable pulley half of a pulley of the continuously variable transmission is biased toward a fixed pulley half thereof, is manufactured by machining a metal sheet 48' includes the first step of press-forming the annular partition wall 48a of a pulley cover 48, the second step of boring an oil hole 48e for communicating between the first and second hydraulic oil chambers 16a, 16b in the partition wall 48a, and the third step of press-forming a peripheral wall 48d of the second hydraulic chamber 16b in the outside in a radial direction of the partition wall 48a, accordingly the peripheral wall 48d of second hydraulic oil chamber 16b has not yet been press-formed when boring the oil hole 48e in the partition wall 48a in the second step, thereby it is avoided that tools 63, 64 for boring the oil hole 48e in the partition wall 48 interferes with the peripheral wall 48d and it is possible to form the oil hole 48e of the partition wall 48a in a direction perpendicular to an axis L of the pulley cover 48. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
