<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for an axle, not susceptible to separation between a bearing inner ring and a hub axle, even when an abnormal load acts thereon and a caulking part of the hub axle is extended and deformed, so as to prevent the axle from coming off. <P>SOLUTION: The bearing device 1 for an axle includes: an outer ring 11 of which an inner circumferential part has a two or more row outer ring raceway; an inner ring 12 of which the outer circumference has an inner ring raceway; the hub axle 13 of which one side end part in an axial direction has a hub flange 13b, of which the another end part has a fitting part 13c of the inner ring 12, and of which the central outer circumferential part has an inner ring raceway; two rows of rolling elements 14 rolling between the outer ring raceway and the inner ring raceway; and two retainers 15 retaining the two rows of rolling elements 14 at predetermined intervals. A tubular shaft end 13d continuous to a fitting part 13c of the hub axle 13 is bended and deformed radially outward and is pressed against a large end face 12f of the inner ring 12 so as to form the caulking part. The caulking part is constituted of: a first caulking part 13h preventing the inner ring 12 from coming off; and a second caulking part 13i formed to be axially spaced from the large end face 12f of the inner ring 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
