<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader capable of improving the efficiency of reading work without eliminating need for implementing troublesome reconfiguration and re-reading of document images when documents such as envelops are erroneously detected as overlappingly fed ones. <P>SOLUTION: The image reader 200 stops reading operations of subsequent documents with reading means 507, 508 when overlapping feed detection means 505 detects an overlapping feed operation of documents, and maintains overlapping feed detection information and then executes required processing after overlapping feed detection operated by an operation panel 404. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
