<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treatment of a mammal with IgA nephropathy or a mammal possibly having IgA nephropathy by an administration of ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid in accordace with a dosing regimen that depends on the case's body weight and size. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes: a step of administering at least approximately 0.04 g/kg of ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid to the mammal; and a step of repeating the same administration until the level of glomerular filtration rate and/or the level of protein urea in the general population show a statistically significant improvement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
