<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the image quality of an expanded binary image by suppressing variation in line width caused by the expansion of the binary image, with a small calculation amount. <P>SOLUTION: A feature detection part 33 detects pixels having dots belonging to a thin line in an unconverted binary image. An expansion processing part 32 identifies pixel regions in a converted binary image corresponding to the pixels having the dots in the unconverted binary image. A pattern processing part 34 thins dots in a pixel region larger in dot width than one or more other pixel regions, in a direction perpendicular to the thin line, among the pixel regions identified by the expansion processing part 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
