JOINING APPARATUS FOR WIRE MATERIALS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably deburr a joining part of wire materials according to a degree of burr generated in the joining part of wire materials, in an apparatus for butting wire materials on each other and joining the wire materials with each other by resistance welding.

SOLUTION: The joining apparatus includes: a press-heating part for butting a wire material on another wire material and joining the wire materials with each other by resistance welding; and a deburring part for removing the burrs generated during joining. The deburring part 15 includes: a grinding tool 151 for grinding the burrs generated in the wire materials joined to each other by the press-heating part; a detector 156 for detecting shapes of the burrs in the joined wire materials; and a controller 157 for controlling the grinding tool to be operated according to the shape of burrs detected by the detector 156.
