The present invention provides a system and apparatus for facilitating transactions involving one or more intellectual properties. A web site is provided using one or more server computers that have a posting for each of the one or more intellectual properties. The intellectual properties include copyrighted material, such as books, music, videos, television shows, movies, software, applications, games or a combination thereof. A selection of one of the intellectual properties is received from one or more client communications devices. Public information and one or more terms for a further disclosure of the selected intellectual property are sent to the one or more client communications devices. A request for an additional level of detail about the selected intellectual property is received from the one or more client communications devices. The additional level of detail about the selected intellectual property is provided to the one or more client communications devices.
