摘要 The purpose of the present invention is to reduce the penetration of spray toward a certain region within a cylinder, thereby achieving a reduction in the dilution of oil, which increases slide resistance in the engine, and in the adhesion of fuel to the cylinder liner and other phenomena and at the same time achieving a reduction in an adverse effect caused by spray having increased penetration. A fuel injection valve has injection holes and injects fuel into the cylinder (3) of an internal combustion engine. The fuel injection valve is provided with: large-diameter injection holes (a2, a6) for injecting the fuel toward an annular space (T1) including regions (A2, A6) in which a tumble flow (T) formed within the cylinder is strong; and small-diameter injection holes (a1, a4, a3, a5) for injecting the fuel toward a space including regions (A1, A4, A3, A5) in which the tumble flow formed within the cylinder (3) is weak. The spray from the large-diameter injection holes has a greater penetration force against the tumble flow than the spray from the small-diameter injection holes.
