The invention relates to a finisher, in particular a concrete road finisher or a slipform paver, comprising a base frame (1) and a pressure plate (2) assigned to the base frame (1) for the fixing of a material covering, the pressure plate (2) having at least one segment. In order to achieve a flexible adjustment to various widths of a material covering that is to be produced and an easy handling with simple structural means, the finisher is designed and developed in such a way that the pressure plate (2), seen in the working direction, can be enlarged in the width by means of attachment parts (3) that can be arranged on the outer sides thereof.
