The adapter has a cylindrical acoustic decoupling unit i.e. damping medium, arranged in power flow between a steering system actuator housing (1) and a steering column. The acoustic decoupling unit is partially arranged in connection drill holes of the adapter, where the adapter is connected with the steering system actuator housing and the steering column. A steering system actuator housing section connects the adapter with the steering system actuator housing, and a steering column section connects the adapter with the steering column. An independent claim is also included for a steering system actuator housing.
