The wheel suspension (1) has a wheel carrier (4), where a link (2) is provided by which the wheel carrier is mounted on a vehicle body (10) in a movable manner. A damper (5) is provided, by which the wheel carrier or the link is connected to the vehicle body. An upper spring receptacle (8) is firmly connected to the vehicle body, where a continuous recess (11) is provided in the upper spring receptacle. The damper extends through the continuous recess which is laterally opened. The damper and upper spring receptacle are connected with respect to vehicle vertical direction at different heights.
