A lateral wall reinforcement type sump pit structure is provided to support vertical pressure by installing a vertical reinforcement member to the outside of a sump pit, to fix a vertical reinforcement member in a concrete layer strongly and to have excellent bearing capacity by forming projections on a reinforcement member, and to have excellent bearing capacity and strength by placing and hardening concrete between reinforcement members and unifying the reinforcement members with the concrete. A lateral wall reinforcement type sump pit structure installed below a building comprises a water collecting basin(10) including a lateral wall to form an inside space for housing underground water at the appointed quantity, the bottom forming the lower part of the water collecting basin and supporting the inside space from the lower part, and many vertical reinforcement members(20) projected to the outside of the lateral wall, installed around the water collecting basin at regular intervals to heighten the strength of the lateral wall and to unified with a concrete layer and extended from the top of the water collecting basin to the bottom to support upward water pressure or pressure transferred from the upper part or the lower part by the weight of a building in the vertical direction, wherein various shaped projections are formed on the vertical reinforcement member to fix the vertical reinforcement member strongly in a concrete layer. In addition, a downward reinforcement member is formed on the lower part of the bottom of the water collecting basin and projected downward to reinforce the strength of the bottom and to unified with cement mixture strongly, and a housing is formed on the lower part of the reinforcement member to cover the bottom of the reinforcement member, and filled with concrete and hardened together with the reinforcement member to improve the downward strength of a sump pit. |
