<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate a pair of rollers during delivery and to easily bring the pair of rollers into pressure contact when in use. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus includes the pair of rollers the lower roller 91 of which is movable in directions to approach and separate from the upper roller 92; a torsion spring 93 energizing the lower roller 91 toward the upper roller 92; a paper feeding tray 31 configured to be pulled out of an apparatus body; and a lever 100 turnably supported between a separating position in which the lower roller 91 is separated from the upper roller 92 against the energizing force of the torsion spring 93, and a retreat position in which the lower roller 91 can be brought into contact with the upper roller 92 by the energizing force of the torsion spring 93. The lever 100 is located in the separating position in a delivery state. The paper feeding tray 31 has an abutting part 31A abutting on the lever 100 to move the lever 100 into the retreat position from the separating position when the paper feeding tray is pulled out of the apparatus body for the first time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
