<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of driving an expansion mechanism provided below an expansion member and a mechanism in an apparatus body by using a common motor. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus (laser printer 100) includes a first tray capable of accommodating a recording sheet to be conveyed to an image forming unit, a pair of body frames 21 that are opposed to each other with the upper part of the first tray between, and a pair of the expansion members 200 attached below the body frames 21 to be opposed to each other with the lower part of the first tray between. The expansion members 200 is provided with a transmission mechanism 220 for transmitting a driving force transmitted from a driving source (motor 21A) provided at the body frames 21 through a body gear 21C by engagement with the body gear 21C provided at the body frames 21 toward the expansion mechanism (paper feeder 300) provided below the expansion members 200. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
