<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner having upper/lower air-direction-changing vanes which achieves a comfortable space by improving blowing properties when blown wind is sent right and left, thereby making temperature distribution in a room more favorable. <P>SOLUTION: The upper/lower air-direction-changing vanes include an upper vane and a lower vane. The lower vane has: a part whose width is smaller than that of a discharge port; and at ends, parts whose widths are larger than that of the discharge port and which protrude right and left. On the protruding parts, projections are formed which serve as blown wind guides.
