摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption in a charger during a standby period of not charging a battery in a charging system composed of a battery pack and the charger to charge a battery inside the battery pack. <P>SOLUTION: A charger 10 has no display part for displaying states such as a charge state to a battery BT. A battery CPU 46 allows three LEDs 34a-34c disposed in a battery pack 30 to display the charge state to the battery BT and a residual capacity. A power supply voltage generated in a control power supply circuit 40 inside the battery pack 30 is supplied via a power switch SW3 to a charger CPU 26 inside the charger 10.
