METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING PARTITION IN STORAGE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mass storage memory system and a method to reallocate a memory partition space.

SOLUTION: A storage system comprises: a memory controller including a microprocessor which receives data from a host system through a logical interface; a first memory partition having a system area and a data area; and a second memory partition having a system area and a data area. The memory controller reallocates a memory space to the first memory partition which is full or has reached a threshold from the second memory partition, by using virtual block addresses of the system area and the data area so that the system area and the data area look continuous to the host system.
