The apparatus (3) comprises heat sources (8 to 10), and a heat conductor (5), which is disposed in a cover plate (4) of a lightning unit (2). The heat conductor is thermally coupled to the heat sources by connecting elements (11 to 13). The heat conductor and the connecting element are formed from a thermally conductive solid object, made from copper and silver or alloy of copper and silver. The heat source of a starter and a control unit or a cooling element of illuminants (6,7) of the lighting unit is an optical reflector of a drive machine of the vehicle. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a lightning unit de-icing apparatus.
