PURPOSE: A forming method for an upper shaft of a steering column is provided to improve work efficiency in forming an upper shaft by applying uniform pressure from three directions. CONSTITUTION: A forming method for an upper shaft of a steering column comprises the steps of: partially processing the peripheral surface of an upper shaft material into a groove shape(S1), advancing the groove part of the upper shaft material between dies arranged in three directions(S3), and rotating the dies to press the groove part of the upper shaft material from three directions to form a recess while maintaining the thickness of the groove part(S4).
