TAPE DETECTION STRUCTURE, AND TAPE PRINTING DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape detection structure capable of accurately detecting the presence of a processing tape by using a case.

SOLUTION: This tape detection structure comprises a feed passage for a print tape 32 at a clearance between a reflective photosensor (first photoelectric element 26) and a ribbon case 64 and detects the presence of the print tape 32 on the feed passage by the first photoelectric element 26. The ribbon case 64 includes a sensor confronting part 841 confronting the first photoelectric element 26. In the sensor confronting part 841, at least a part that receives the light of the first photoelectric element 26 is colored in a dark color (black).
