<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that quickly returns a function program having experienced an error back to an executable state. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus, a main control unit 110 monitors, during the operation on the basis of a function program, whether or not a plurality of types of processes, which are necessary for the execution of the function program, have experienced an error on the basis of a monitoring program.
