摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focus adjustment device which can perform detection of a focus state appropriately. <P>SOLUTION: A focus adjustment device comprises: an imaging part 22 to capture an image from optical systems 31, 32, 33 and to output a picture signal corresponding to the captured image; a first focus detection part to detect a focus state of the optical systems using phase difference during the image capturing by the imaging part 22; a second focus detection part to detect the focus state of the optical systems by calculating an evaluation value about contrast of the image from the optical systems based on the picture signal output by the imaging part; and a control part 21 to makes it possible to detect the focus state by the first focus detection part and to detect the focus state by the second focus detection part by making a focus adjustment part drive a focus adjustment optical system, to change the travel speed of an image surface to be lower than a standard speed if the travel speed of the image surface when a peak of the evaluation value is detected is faster than the standard speed and to make the focus adjustment optical system drive to a position where the evaluation value is the peak if the travel speed of the image surface is less than the standard speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
