<p>In a communication network, a public key of a first node is sent to a second node which includes applying a one-way function to the public key and first image data from the first node to generate first digest data; sending the first digest data to the second node; receiving a confirmation that the first digest data was received by the second node; sending the public key and the first image data to the second node to allow the second node to determine that the public key and the first image data were used to generate the first digest data; sending second image data to the second node to allow the second node to determine that the second image data is congruent with the first image data, and consequently that the public key received by the second node is that of the first node.</p> |
