<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable accurate grasping of a distance amount of shift between the edge portion position of a travelling article and a reference stop position thereof even if the front surface of the travelling article is diagonally imaged, and to accurately determine whether the travelling article stops correctly at the reference stop position. <P>SOLUTION: A stop position detection method used for a travelling article 3 includes the steps of: obtaining an imaged image F, by imaging means, containing a reference stop position PS preset as a position at which the travelling article 3 stops and an edge portion position PF of the travelling article 3 existing at a spot shifted vertically or horizontally relatively to the reference stop position PS; calculating a horizontal shift distance amount between the reference stop position PS and the edge portion position PF of the travelling article 3 in an actual space from the obtained imaged image F; and determining based on the obtained shift distance amount as to whether the travelling article 3 stops at the reference stop position PS. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
