<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition that achieves improved low fuel consumption, wet grip performance, wear resistance and kneading workability in a well-balanced manner, and to provide a pneumatic tire using the rubber composition. <P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition for tires contains a rubber component and silica. In the rubber composition, in 100 mass% of the rubber component, a modified styrene-butadiene rubber using a specific nitrogen-containing compound as a monomer is included in an amount of 5 mass% or more and a specific high-cis polybutadiene is included in an amount of 10 to 70 mass%; and the silica is included in an amount of 10 to 150 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
