This manual transmission is provided with an input shaft (Ai) to which the power from an internal combustion engine (E/G) is inputted via a clutch (C/T), and an output shaft (Ao) for outputting power to a drive wheel. This transmission has a plurality of gears (EV, EV-R) for EV traveling in which a power transmission system is not established between Ai and Ao (different from neutral), and a plurality of gears (gears 2 to 5) for HV traveling in which a power transmission system is established between Ai and Ao. This transmission is provided with a connection switching mechanism (M2) for disconnecting the output shaft (Am) of an electric motor (M/G) from output shaft (Ao). When a gear for EV traveling is selected, a "connection state" is constantly implemented. Meanwhile, when a gear for HV traveling is selected, a "disconnection state" may be implemented. As a consequence, it is possible to prevent a situation in which the temperature of the electric motor increases excessively in a manual transmission for HV-MT vehicles provided with "gears for HV traveling" and "gears for EV traveling". |
