In order to provide an image reconstruction device with which images having the quality required by the operator can be produced when cross-sectional images are reconstructed using iterative approximation, the invention is an image reconstruction device that performs iterative approximation based on the difference between measured projection data and calculated projection data obtained by forward projection of a reconstructed image reconstructed on the basis of the measured projection data. The image reconstruction device is characterized in being provided with: an input unit where image quality parameters that the operator considers to be important are input; a weighting computation unit that computes weighting coefficients based on the image quality parameter; and an iterative approximation unit that performs iterative approximation based on values obtained from weighted addition of pixel values that are about to be determined using the weighting coefficient and pixel values that were determined in the previous iteration.
