<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system which can accurately determine whether a person having entered a monitoring area which is set around an entry restriction area is a suspicious person. <P>SOLUTION: A security system 1 comprises: detection means 21 for detecting positions of people existing in a monitoring area set at least at a part of periphery of an entry restriction area; identification information acquisition means 22 for acquiring identification information of each person; authority identification means 273 for determining whether a person is a permitted person who is preregistered or a non-permitted person by each person on the basis of his/her identification information; position tracking means 341 for storing trace information by tracking positions of each person; action detection means 342 for detecting a suspicious action by the non-permitted person; and determination means 343 for, when the suspicious action by the non-permitted person is detected, determining the non-permitted person as a suspicious person.
