<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater that is further improved in a universal design property by employing audio assistance therein while maintaining usability and safety. <P>SOLUTION: The water heater includes a remote controller 3 including: an operation number counting means 10 for counting the number of operating a function; a sound outputting means 8 including a plurality of patterns of audio guidance corresponding to each function based on the number of operation; and a sound generating means 9 for emitting a sound based on a signal from the sound outputting means 8.
