摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque detector for an electric bicycle, that is constructed without using special components or heavy components and therefore is light-weighted and simple to assemble, and inexpensive. <P>SOLUTION: A torque detector for an electric bicycle comprises: one elastically deformable section 23a that elastically deforms upon receiving force for elastically deforming a crank shaft 7a backward by reactive force of a driving sprocket 13 pulling a chain 15 forward; one distortion detecting sensor 24 mounted to the elastically deformable section 23a, for detecting human power driving force from an elastic deformation amount of the elastically deformable section 23a; one shaft bearing 26 and another shaft bearing that constitute a right-and-left pair for supporting the crank shaft 7a in a freely rotatable manner, and that are arranged in a hanger part 20 fixed to a frame; and a sensor supporting member 23 that includes the elastically deformable section 23a elastically deformable by contacting the shaft bearing 26 from backward, and that is mounted between the hanger part 20 and the shaft bearing 26 disposed on a side where the driving sprocket 13 is mounted in right-and-left directions, while the distortion detecting sensor 24 is mounted to the elastically deformable section 23a of the sensor supporting member 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
