<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which can suppress the deterioration of a cleaning function. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprises a body and a discharge unit (50) which is attachable to and detachable from the body. The discharge unit (50) has a discharge needle (156), a cleaning member (153) and a drive member (154). The discharge needle (156) performs discharge. The cleaning member (153) contacts with the discharge needle (156) and cleans an adhered matter which is adhered to the tip of the discharge needle (156).
