摘要 The present invention relates to a remote manipulation device and method, which are applicable to all electronic devices that are driven and manipulated using a conventional remote control, regardless of the presence of a display device, and which perform a driving manipulation on the electronic devices by using a virtual touch through a user's motion (i.e. a gesture). The device includes: a three-dimensional coordinate calculation unit for extracting three-dimensional coordinate data on a user's body and an electronic device by using an image received through image capturing; an electronic device detecting unit for recognizing space position information on an electronic device and equipment product information by using the three-dimensional coordinate data on the electronic device, which are extracted by the three-dimensional coordinate calculating unit, and generating a virtual contact point region for a virtual touch of a user and an electronic device on the basis of direction information corresponding to a straight line between the user and the electronic device; a user detection unit for calculating a virtual touch position and a positional change for a driving manipulation of an electronic device by using the three-dimensional coordinate data of the user's body calculated by the three-dimensional coordinate calculation unit, and generating a command code for performing a manipulation of a predetermined electronic device on the basis of the calculated virtual touch positional change; an electronic driving control unit for, when the command code generated by the user detection unit is inputted, converting the command code into a control command signal for a driving manipulation of a corresponding electronic device and transmitting the converted control command signal to a corresponding electronic device; and an electronic device information database (DB) for storing equipment product information including the manufacturer and model name of the electronic device, protocol information applied to a driving manipulation for each equipment product, and manipulation method information for each electronic device.
