<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing method and a photographing device with which a captured image of better appearance is acquired, thereby improving user's satisfaction to the captured image. <P>SOLUTION: The photographing device includes: a photographing means capable of performing photographic processing for forming the captured image by photographing one or more users in photographic space; an editing means capable of performing editing processing for forming an edited image by editing the captured image; and an output means capable of performing output processing for outputting the captured image or/and the edited image. The photographing device is includes a photographing posture assisting body having a chair part provided at height at which the user sits down in such a state that he (she) extends his (her) legs lower obliquely forward in the direction of the photographing means, and a leg position restricting part for restricting the leg position of the user sitting on the chair part so as not to move backward from the state that he (she) extends the legs to lower obliquely forward in the photographic space.
