PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift map change-over control device for changing over a shift map for an automatic transmission into a shift map to reduce fuel consumption, depending on the remaining capacity of a fuel tank. SOLUTION: The shift map change-over control device comprises a fuel remaining capacity sensor 72 for detecting the remaining capacity of the fuel tank 71, the plurality of shift maps for delivering shift timings for the automatic transmission 1b, and a control part 101 for selecting one shift map out of the plurality of shift maps to perform shift control of the automatic transmission 1b in accordance with one shift map. When the fuel remaining capacity is detected to be a predetermined value or smaller, the control part 101 changes over a standard shift map 103 into a high fuel consumption shift map 104 to reduce fuel consumption. In a meter unit 90, an operation mode display lamp 99 is arranged for displaying the selected condition of the shift map. The fuel remaining capacity is detected in accordance with an average value within a predetermined time for output signals from the fuel remaining capacity sensor 72, thus preventing frequent change-over of the shift map.
