The assembly comprises a roof connection part (2) with a cap (3) containing a lead-through opening (4) extending through the inner and outer surfaces (8, 9) of the cap, and a pipe part with a collar. When in a first form, the collar can be fitted over the outer surface of the cap in a splashproof manner, and in a second form it can be passed through the opening from the inner surface to the outer surface of the cap. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a pipe part in the above assembly, comprising configuring the collar so that it adopts the second state, passing the collar through the opening from the inner surface to a position beyond the outer surface of the cap, configuring the collar so that it adopts the first state and moving the collar in the direction of the outer surface of the cap until it is in contact with this surface.
