The invention relates to a container, especially for receiving food, said container comprising a wall provided with at least one layer. The inventive container has an extraction opening with a rolled opening edge and is closed on the end thereof opposing the extraction opening. At least the container wall is formed from a two-dimensional blank that is joined to form a continuous container wall. The aim of the invention is to enable the interior of one such container to be inspected in a simple, constructive and cost- effective manner, maintaining previous advantageous of the known container. To this end, said container, and especially the container wall, is formed at least partially from a transparent or translucent, especially liquid-tight or fluid-tight material that can be deformed in order to form the container and is dimensionally stable following the shaping.
