PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire for making on-ice performance and wet-performance compatible. SOLUTION: A pair of main grooves 11 extending in the circumferential direction of the tire are formed in the center area of a tread part 1. A pair of main grooves 12 extending in the circumferential direction of the tire are formed on both outer sides of the main grooves 11, respectively. A plurality of lug grooves 21 extending from the ends of the shoulders of the tread part toward the lateral inward of the tire and communicating with the main grooves 11 and a plurality of lug grooves 22 extending from the ends of the shoulders of the tread part 1 and not communicating with the main grooves 11 are alternately arranged along the circumferential direction of the tire. A center rib 30 continuously extending in the circumferential direction of the tire is formed between the pair of main grooves 11, 11. Shoulder block rows 40 each formed of a plurality of blocks 41 are formed between the main grooves 12 and the ends of the shoulders, respectively. Intermediate block rows 50 each formed of a plurality of blocks 51-53 are formed between the main grooves 11 and the main grooves 12, respectively. A long block 51 having such a circumferential length that straddles over the two blocks 41, 41 of the shoulder block rows 40 is arranged on the intermediate block row 50.
