PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microchip of high measuring accuracy for separating a sample in a short time with good repeatability. SOLUTION: The microchip comprises a substrate 102 and a passage formed on the surface of the substrate 102 to allow a sample solution to pass through. The passage comprises an analysis part 103 separating the sample solution, and a sample introducing part 104 adjoining the analysis part 103 to introduce the sample solution. The surface of the sample introducing part 104 includes a hydrophobic surface 106 and a hydrophilic region, and the hydrophilic region abuts on the surface of the analysis part 103 to form a hydrophilic surface 105.
