<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet manufacturing method with high mass productivity, with which many sintered magnets can be stored in one processing box and high-performance magnets can be obtained when a metal evaporation material containing at least either one of Dy and Tb and sintered magnets are stored in the processing box, and after installing the processing box in a vacuum chamber, the processing box is heated at a prescribed temperature in a vacuum atmosphere to evaporate the metal evaporation material and attach the evaporated metal evaporation material to the sintered magnets, and the attached metallic atoms of Dy and Tb are diffused into the grain boundary and/or grain boundary phase of the sintered magnets to obtain high-performance magnets. <P>SOLUTION: The metal evaporation materials v and the sintered magnets S are alternately stacked in the vertical direction and stored in the processing box 7 so as not be brought into contact with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
