PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve energy efficiency even when a battery temperature is in a high temperature range in a hybrid vehicle controller for controlling the battery so that charging/discharging is limited when the battery temperature increases. SOLUTION: The upper limit value of charging/discharging includes a first upper limit value 70 and a second upper limit value 72 smaller than the first upper limit value 70. When the operation pattern of a motor is a regenerative pattern, the controller selects the first upper limit value 70. In this way, if the temperature T is in a high temperature range, the operation of regenerative power generation of the motor is hardly limited, and thus, energy efficiency can be improved.
