PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system by which a radio communication means optimum for user's use environment can be selected from among a plurality of radio communication means to raise user's convenience. SOLUTION: Radio communication is established between a portable phone 300, etc. and a multifunction machine 200 by a proximity radio communication means among the plurality of radio communication means, an identification information table is created and stored from identification information of a common radio communication means by which data communication is possible among the plurality of radio communication means with which the multifunction machine 200 is provided. On the other hand, starting of a job executed in cooperation with the portable phone 300, etc. is performed according to establishment of the radio communication between the portable phone 300, etc. and the multifunction machine 200 by the proximity radio communication means. Then, device information on the portable phone 300, etc. is acquired on starting of the job, compared with the identification information table, and the radio communication means for performing the data communication is selected according to a comparison result.
